How do I place an order?
It’s really easy! For an overview of the ordering process, go to the “How it works” page. Then go to the store, choose the package that is right for you, create your account, enter payment information, and then pick up your CSA package the first Tuesday of the coming month.
Can I change my delivery location?
Currently, we have two options. You can pick up at the Side Hill Farmers Meats and Market in Manlius or at Three Goat Farm in Westmoreland. However, if you are interested and can’t make it to either, reach out and we will see if we can make other arrangements.
Can I order individual cuts?
Sorry, no. However, if you have a special request that fits within your package, we might be able to accommodate. You can always get a specific cut in our store, Side Hill Farmers Meats and Market.
How do I renew my membership?
When your membership has expired, you will need to log back into the store and reorder the CSA package of your choice. You will have to go through the same order process you did the first time.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment is always processed through our website. You can enter the typical credit card information or use a PayPal account. Your payment information will be processed through PayPal with either method of payment.
Can I buy your meat anywhere else?
You can get individual cuts and an assortment of local goods at our storefront, Side Hill Farmers Meats and Market in Manlius.
What if I can’t make it to the pick up on the first Tuesday of the month?
No problem. We ask that you simply send an email to our CSA representative to make other arrangements. We can hold onto your order for you until you are ready to get it.
Where are your animals processed?
All of our animals (cattle and pigs) are processed at small, local USDA-inspected and certified facilities.
How is the meat packaged?
All of our meat is packaged based on cut in vacuum-sealed packages that are blast frozen. This process should eliminate freezer burn and keeps the value of your meat. Each one of the cuts will be labeled so you know exactly what's inside.
How much space does 15 lbs. of meat take up in my freezer?
15 pounds of meat typically would fill about ¾ of a grocery store bag.
How are your animals raised?
Each one of our farms has its’ own method of raising animals. We have two common denominators: no antibiotics, hormones, or animal byproduct feeds and pasture-based. The farms we work with are high quality and definitely animal friendly.
